With Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, monitoring and accessing the platform’s data has become increasingly complicated by changes implemented for Twitter analysts.

Like many organizations, our access to the Twitter API has also been affected by the recent adjustments, making it difficult to process our data.

Even using alternative open source tools (OSINT) to complement our activity, there seems to be no indication of a prompt response to these difficulties.

The Application Programming Interface (API) allows developers and researchers to interact directly with Twitter data and use it to extract trend analysis and conduct studies.

Given these processing difficulties, it has complicated the production of several analyses, including our weekly “PoliTwitter” report.

However, like many other affected organizations, we have adapted, but it is worth questioning how far these measures will go in the long run.
